Police arrest singer Portable over G-wagon Debt

Nigerian famous singer Okikiola Habeeb, but popularly known as Portable by his stage name had to spend the night at the Lagos State police headquarters in Ikeja after failing to clear his debt for a G-wagon he purchased.

Information gathered from different online sources has it that the singer was arrested following a petition from the car who made claims that the singer had purchased a G-wagon from him at the sum of ₦27 million, portable only made a part payment of ₦13 million and had refused to complete the ₦14m balance.

The car dealer said he has tried all he could to get portable pay the remaining balance or return the vehicle but all his efforts failed, rather the singer claimed the vehicle is faulty and for that reason he cannot complete the remaining balance of ₦14m for a faulty vehicle.

The Lagos State police command secured a warrant of arrest and picked him up yesterday for questioning at the command headquarters.
