

The head, Directorate of Lagos State DNA and Forensic Centre Dr Richard Somiari has revealed that the outcome of the autopsy tests earlier conducted on Nigerian prolific singer and songwriter Aloba IIerioluwa popularly known as Mohbad would be ready from three or four weeks from now.
Dr Richard made this known on Wednesday 20th while giving an inquiry into the manner and cause of the singers death.
The witness was cross examined by the defence counsel to ascertain the facts relating to the incident.
The singer pass on to glory on September 12, 2023 at the age of 27 years.
Mohbad’s death gave rise to public disagreement, which made the Lagos State Government to direct for an inquiry into the cause of death of the singer.
The inquiry about mohbad’s death began on October 13, 2023.
During the last inquiry hearing of Mohbad’s death on March 20th, Somiari told the Coroner Magistrate Shotobi Adedayo : ” We Expected to get the first batch of autopsy results from three to four weeks and re- confirm to be sure of the cause of death.
Our team made multiple checks to find out if poison was involved in the death of the singer hence no actual finding was mentioned.
The lagos forensic department has assured the general public of proper security and monitoring of samples for the autopsy results.
Provision has been made where items are stored for safety and security of test results. There is also an established procedure for monitoring samples moved abroad ; Dr Somiari stated.
