Nyesom Wike , the Federal Capital Territory minister has made it known that even if give 200 years it will not be enough to solve the problems in the FCT.
As part of activities to mark President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s one year in office the FCT minister spoke in Abuja at the Ministerial Sectoral Updates .
At the event the Minister said government is a continuous process , he further said that after him someone else will take over and continue from where he has stopped.
“Even if given the opportunity to serve as FCT minister for 200 years I cannot solve the entire problems in the territory. You will contribute your own quota to the best of your knowledge and when another person comes in they pick up from where you stop ” Wike said.
“After all, government is a continuum . Reasons why Mr President told me, because projects are littered everywhere we cannot go ahead starting new projects but rather ensure we finish the abandoned projects”.
The first session of the Sectoral briefing had in attendance the Minister of Youth Development, Dr Jamila Ibrahim Bio, Minister of Steel Development, Prince Shuaibu Abubakar Audu, Minister of FCT, Nyesom Wike, Minister of Budget and National Planning, Senator Atiku Bagudu, Minister of State for FCT, Dr. Mariya Mahmud ; Minister of State for Petroleum, Senator Heineken Lokpobiri ; and Minister of State for Youth Development, Mr Olawande Ayodele .
