“IT’S BETTER TO TALK THAN TO THROW STONES” was the conclusive statement of the Vice Chancellor, Benue State University, Makurdi at the expanded Student Leaders’ interface with the university’s management in regards to the ongoing ASUU-BSU strike on Thursday, June 1, 2023 at the Senate Chamber.

Alot were discussed, questions were asked and the V.C with his capable team took their time to explain vividly and religiously the agreement between ASUU and the University Management.

Good news! For the interest of the students whom the VC refers to as “my children”, the university has withdrawn the suit filed against ASUU-BSU at the National Industrial Court, Makurdi.

He also said that, the management met with ASUU-BSU yesterday and the two parties have reached a favourable understanding.

Hopefully, we’ll hear from ASUU-BSU any moment from now.

The Vice chancellor therefore urged students to start preparing to return back to school for the beginning of a new session.
