Moses Shater SAMARI was born on the 29th day of November, 2000 to the family of Mr. Denis Igbalaha Samari and Mrs. Ngunan Catherine Samari from Utyondu, Uvir council ward of Guma Local government Area, Benue State.


His father was a retired military personnel who married two wives and his mother (Ngunan) the second wife. His mother is blessed with two children with Moses as the first born although, shortly after his younger brother’s birth, his parents got seperated though not a legal divorce and he grew up with his mother and maternal parents in Daudu since 2005 till date (2024). He lost his father in 2015.


EDUCATIONAL BACKGROUND
Mr. Shater Moses began his primary education at St. Francis Pilot Primary School, Daudu Guma local government (public Primary School) in the year 2006 from pri. 1 to pri. 4.
He also attended St. Francis Catholic Nursery and Primary School in the year 2009 from primary 4 to 6. In his primary school, he was made the Social Prefect due to his social way of life, he also played major roles in school dramas and debates which gave me confidence and courage from that teenage stage. Shater completed his primary education in 2013. After his primary school, things were really tough with his mother whose major job was selling “Akara” beans cake, sourcing money for his admission into secondary school was quite difficult for his mother at this time, Moses passed his common entrance examinations into Day Star Secondary School, North Bank Makurdi, but they couldn’t afford his admission fees of 15,000 within the required time and he lost his admission however, he later got admission at Lobethas Unity College, where he studied from 2013 to 2019, JSS 1 to SSS 3. While in the secondary school, he was appointed the Head boy of the college. And after his secondary school, he offered to assist in the same school as a junior staff and was granted the opportunity by the school management and was assigned SSS 1 to teach Literature-in-English and English Language, which he diligently did from 2019 September to March 2021.


He participated in the 2019 UTME Examination (JAMB) the same year he wrote his SSCE and was fortunate to score and he gained admission 2019 into Benue State University, Makurdi in Mass Communication Department, Faculty of Social Sciences. Though this was not his preferred course of study as he wanted to read law but was instead offered Mass Communication nevertheless, Mr. Shater been a Nan of dexterity gradually developed passion, zeal and interest for the course and he has found his route in the field of communication as he seen to be good at broadcast courses and class presentations, this seems to be a centre of attraction amongst his course mates on his personality. He is currently an undergraduate of the prestigious Benue State University, Makurdi in his third year (300 level).


As a passionate young man he saw his full involvement in student Union as the best way for him to contribute his own quarter to the welfare of his fellow students and also contribute to the development of the Department, University and the society at large. In other to accomplish this dreams, he contested in the Departmental elections vying for the position of the Departmental president. This was quite a tough moment for him in school as combining academics and Students Union is always not easy but as God will have it, he won the election with wide margin of 532 against 229 making him the president of the department, this is first in the history of Mass Communication that students turn out for a Departmental election as such.


HIS RELIGIOUS LIFE.
Shater Moses Samari is a Christian of the Roman Catholic faith. A baptised and practicing Catholic. Though his biological parents are NKST members but having grown with his maternal parents who were devoted Catholics, he became a Roman Catholic up till date.
He believes in the Catholic doctrine and he is also a devotee of the Blessed Virgin Mary mother of God.
He has been leaders in various christian associations in church and while in school, worthy of note is his current position in Young Catholic Students of Nigeria (YCSN) makurdi Diocese, where he is the Diocesan Secretary and also the president of BSU section.


SOURCE OF LIVELIHOOD
As a growing young boy, Shater was always encouraged by his mother’s hard work and was ready to assist her in anyway. He usually push wheelbarrow, hawk satchet water, and help people sell at Daudu market just to raise little pocket money for school when ever their mother was not around.
Moses is also undergoing a photography training class at Ortis Imagery in makurdi. Due to school, he seems to be restricted from most means of hustling that would possibly have earned him a little money.
Basically, he is engaged into farming with his mother and younger brother which is their major source of livelihood.
Shater Moses has an uncle who is a Roman Catholic Priest and is working in France Paris, and has really been supportive to his life pursuits and career.


MARITAL STATUS
Moses Shater is in his early twenties (20s) and not married .


HIS HUBBIES
Shater Moses Samari takes so much pleasure in Reading, Teaching, Acting and watching movies. He is a man of the people.
