Benue Illustrious Son Write’s Letter to Governor Alia

Benue Illustrious Son Saaondo Gbanger who hails from Mbaduku, in vandeikya local government area of benue state , in the early hours today being 29th April took to his official Facebook page to express his satisfaction with Governor Alia’s administration and for keeping to his Divine mandate plan to revive benue state back from it’s lost glory with the #BenueMustBeGreatAgain.

The indigenous benue son however wrote a comprehensive letter to give Governor Alia Accolades for what he has done for the state so far in his few months in office.

His letter reads thus :

A LETTER TO THE EXECUTIVE GOVERNOR OF BENUE STATE, His Excellency Very Revd Fr. Dr Hyacinth Iormem Alia.

Good day Your Excellency,

It is my earnest prayer and wish that this letter finds you in good health and qualifies for your reading pleasure.

I’m writing this letter from a place of emotions, love and admiration and I’m doing so for myself, on behalf of our aged parents and Benue Youths of conscience who wish to but cannot get the opportunity or the wherewithal to register their deep love and appreciation to you.

Your Excellency Sir, in just a few months of your stewardship to the Benue people you’ve given us so many reasons to boast of, the rights to brag are just overwhelming.

We now take pride in our state wherever we go, I can remember when and where I was serving as a corp member in Akwa Ibom State, my colleagues would always speak of your developmental strides and wish they were posted to Benue State for their service year. There was no greater joy and pride I could derive.

Albeit, you’re the most approachable leader of our time, most of our parents cannot get the opportunity to meet you and communicate their profound appreciation and prayers hence I’m writing you this letter to do that at their prompt.

Sir, you don’t have an idea how much you have changed the lives of our aging parents which in turn gives us the children the emotional stability we need to go out in search of greener pastures, something we only wished for in the previous administrations.

Waking up to a happy parent(s) or guardian is the best feeling one could ever wish for and you have made that possible and we can’t be prouder.

Our parents can now afford to a greater extent quality healthcare, balanced diet and general welfare courtesy of your benevolent and compassionate leadership.

Prior to this moment of your divine rule, there was grief in the land Benue State was overwhelmed with grievous emotions from citizens stemming from losing their loved ones to ill health resources would have saved to having little to nothing to make ends meet!

People dreaded calls from home for fear of hearing bad news orchestrated by poverty and penury, homes that are meant to be comforting havens became a dreading misery, people were forced to distance themselves from their loved ones which costed their once cherished relationships. It was sad!

Your emergence brought back the souls in our parents, they were working corps with no desire to live again, they were that indifferent about life because they were no longer living but existing but you brought them back to life.

We watched our parents shade tears of frustration and we couldn’t do anything. We watched them get embarrassed for debts they owed.

Payment of salaries, pensions and gratuities that was heretofore, a rocket science has become a regular occurrence, something we only wished for before.

Our parents do not take that for granted even though they are their entitlements, they still appreciate it in no small measure. The prayers are enormous.

On the other hand, we Benue Youths of conscience and progressive minds with all sense of indebtedness, acknowledge your altruistic leadership and we assure you of our total and continuous support in the midst of political tussles aimed at derailing your commitment to good governance.

You’ve given us hope, that indeed the future is bright, something we considered an illusion and unrealistic previously.

Before now the youths lost hope, they watched their prime (productive age) fade away before their very eyes with nothing to do to save it due to the negligence and wickedness of past administrations. It’s was frustrating!

So, when we say we’re behind you, we say that with our souls because you’ve given us a reason to do so and we’ll put our lives on the line for you.

I particularly, with a sense of clairvoyance I chose and campaigned for your candidacy because I saw in you everything I looked for in a leader and I won’t sit back and watch unprogressive elements sabotage what I laboured for!

I don’t need any patronage or employment from you or your administration to do that, I did it before, I’m doing it now and I’ll always do it so far as you continue delivering on your divine mandate.

Your accomplishments and the smiles on the faces of our parents are enough motivations for me to do that. They always fill and refill my ink to rise to your defense.

I and other Benue citizens of integrity will always defend you whenever and wherever as we’ve always been doing.

Just focus on the steering and don’t take your foot off the throttle and leave the rest to us. We’ll always rise to the occasion Sir.
